|Do you remember John Fletcher? He’s the young man who runs Fletcher’s News and Booze, a small shop in Sunderland. After the recent Manchester and London terrorist attacks, he put three words up on a sign outside his shop: “Don’t Fund Terror”, next to an English flag.Pretty basic stuff — every shop in the U.K. should do that. But in fact, a network of shops in the U.K. was recently found to be laundering money for overseas terrorists.
You’d think the police would love John Fletcher, and consider him an ally.
But they don’t: they hate him, and treat him like an enemy.
Seven times the police came to his shop, telling him to take the sign down. And John, being a proud Brit who knows his rights, simply refused.
But then the police went after John where he was vulnerable. See, John’s a family man, with two young kids. And the police threatened him, saying if he didn’t take down the words “Don’t Fund Terrorism”, they’d revoke his licence to sell alcohol.
They’d put him out of business.
What would you do if you were John?
It’s bullying. It’s illegal. It’s unfair. And it’s utterly un-British. But if you were a dad, you’d put your family first.
How could you possibly fight back against the police with their unlimited resources?
Well, that’s if you were alone. But John’s not alone anymore. He’s got us. And he’s got you.

And: stay tuned. We’ve made contact with a top solicitor, who knows the law in matters like this. We’ll keep you posted on our plans to help John fight back.
But in the meantime, please take a moment to sign the petition by clicking here. Let’s tell John that we stand with him, and he’s not alone.
P.S. British police have historically been the most respected police in the world. But they are being turned into political police, cracking down on the British people who have the “wrong” opinions.
